Job Description

Our client who has been in business nationwide for over 100 years is having a record year! They are going from strength to strength and continue to be a leader within their field. The company offers a comprehensive product range to their clients including but not limited to steel, piping, fencing, fittings, fastenings, engineering supplies, duct iron, and valves.

They are looking for their talented storeperson who can hopefully become a permanent fixture within their organization.

This would be a great career move for someone who likes to be challenged, who wants to be learning and improving daily, and desires career progression.

The work is based in Hamilton - applicants must have a full class 1 license and their own reliable transport to get to and from work.

You'll be:

  • Pick packing products
  • Loading and unloading stock
  • Sandblasting/powder coating (Full training given)
  • Completing quality assurance on products before shipment
  • Using a forklift to move products (our client will put you through training if you don't already have your license!)

    A fantastic eye for detail is needed as well as the ability to heavy-lift products of up to 25kg!!

    Applicants for this role must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, have a clean criminal history, and be able to provide 2 recent (At least 1 within the last 6-12 months) contactable references.

  • Some experience in warehousing

  • Great communication skills
  • A great eye and attention for detail
  • Forklift license (F or OSH)
