Reporting to the Group Manager, you'll be responsible for helping them with managing their day and allowing them to keep focused on the amazing vision and strategy of improving the standard of living for all New Zealanders!

    Your key responsibilities as EA:
  • Executive support - Deal with high level and confidential issues, diary and event management, screen and manage contact requests, assist senior management to achieve decision making outcomes
  • Collaboration - Internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives, balance competing demands and interests, provide timely and helpful information
  • Decision Making – Make fact and judgement-based recommendations and decisions, comfortable taking calculated risks, fostering and innovating through new ideas and problem solving
  • Administration - Prepare documents, minute meetings and follow up agreed outputs, manage financial processes
  • Relationship Management - Contribute as an active team member sharing expertise, build effective and efficient working relationships, manage internal and external partnerships and stakeholders, mentor support staff
  • Customer Focus - Gain insight into customer needs, deliver customer focused solutions, identify opportunities for improvement that have customers at the heart, actively seek feedback, maintain sustainable and sturdy relationships
  • Health and Safety - Deal with workplace hazards appropriately, reports incidents immediately, proactively resolve workplace risks
  • Action orientated - Taking ownership and being accountable for results, having a can-do attitude, comfortable managing tough situations

    About you:
  • Proven experience in a senior executive support role
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within a government agency
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication
  • Confident collaborator and influential with peers
  • Flexible to working within a dynamic and diverse environment
