Job Description

This company are a nationwide leader in the production of air conditioning and heat ventilation systems. We have an exciting opportunity as a Sheet Metal Tradesperson that will involve fabrication, assembly, installation and the report of sheet metal products.

This opportunity will be based in the Hamilton facility, in Frankton. Joining a great nationwide company, there is lots of space for you to train, learn, and grow and take your career to the next step in metal fabrication.

What's on offer:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm
  • Temp to perm for the right candidate

    Your new role will involve:

  • Fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal products and equipment for air handlers and ducting
  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal
  • Shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer operating and soldering equipment
  • Assembling, inspecting and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces

    We are ideally needing someone with a minimum of Level 4 national certificate in sheet metal.

    What will you bring:
  • Ideally have experience in MIG & TIG welding
  • Level 4 national certificate preferred
  • Experience operating CNC equipment advantageous
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg consistently
  • Can demonstrate safe work practices
  • Good attention to detail, and ability to read, build, and interpret plans
  • Mechanically minded
