Our client is a highly successful real estate company who is looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join their growing team.

In this role, you will be reporting directly to the company director and will be given the chance to make the role your own.

  • Have 3-4 years post-study experience as an accountant
  • Ideally be a chartered accountant or working towards it
  • Preferably have some commercial accountancy experience

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Overview all company's profit and loss statements and ensure that all accounts paid are appropriately authorized and coded.
  • Maintain -Private Ledger system and produce monthly and annual trading accounts.
  • Reconcile bank account of main trading account and overview the preparation of trust account reconciliation.
  • Maintain GST records, prepare GST returns, and file returns with IRD.
  • Prepare 20th of the month accounts for payment and release in line with cash flow.
  • Ensure all financial reporting and statutory return obligations are met.
  • Prepare budgets for office and report variances to actual as required.

    You will also be responsible for paying our staff correctly and on time as well as ensuring all relevant PAYE and tax details are kept up to date for our employees. In addition, you will need to complete annual reconciliations for PAYE and withholding tax.
